From July 9 to July 15, the 2025 “Digital Economy and Intelligent Decision” International Summer School, which was hosted by the School of Economics and Management at Harbin Institute of Technology, took place successfully. A total of 224 students from well-known universities both in China and abroad, including Fudan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Siberian Federal University in Russia, and Universiti Malaya, came together at HIT for an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural academic experience.
Setting Sail ● Meeting at HIT
On July 8, with the support of a dedicated volunteer team, participants completed the registration process. The volunteers provided guidance and assistance at every step, helping the participants activate their campus cards, check into their dormitories, and get familiar with campus life.
Learning ● Exploring Frontiers
The week-long program offered a rich and diverse array of courses. Renowned scholars from institutions like the City University of Hong Kong, the National University of Singapore, the University of Manchester, and Yonsei University delivered lectures on cutting-edge topics. These topics encompassed the digital economy, intelligent decision-making, blockchain, crowdfunding mechanisms, artificial intelligence and employment, and neural networks. By integrating theory with practice, participants not only mastered advanced academic methodologies but also broadened their international perspectives.
Exploration ● Discovering Aspirations
Beyond the classroom, participants visited HIT’s Aerospace Museum, the HIT Exhibition Center, and the university museum. They gained a deep appreciation for HIT’s spirit of “Strict Standards, Earnest Endeavors” and its legacy of scientific and educational excellence. The university’s rich history, its remarkable achievements in aerospace, and its cutting-edge technological displays inspired students to integrate knowledge with action, fueling deeper academic and practical motivation.

On July 15, the summer school concluded successfully. Participants not only gained advanced knowledge and advanced academic methods but also formed lasting friendships through multicultural exchanges and intellectual discussions. This summer school provided a high-level platform for dialogue between academia and industry, bridging theory and practice. It truly empowered young scholars to boldly continue exploring and growing in the fields of digital economy and intelligent decision-making.
