From July 15 to 28, Harbin Institute of Technology hosted the “Electrical Intelligence, Driving the Future” Global Summer School as part of its 2024 Global Summer School program. This year’s event, the fifth in the series, was organized by the School of Undergraduate College and conducted by the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation. The two-week program welcomed 30 participants from top universities both domestically and internationally, including Fudan University, the University of Science and Technology of China, Dalian University of Technology, Moscow Bauman State Technical University, Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys, and Yonsei University in South Korea.
The summer school featured a variety of activities such as specialized courses, lectures, and interactive sessions. Specialized courses were led by Professor José Marcos Alonso Alvarez from the University of Oviedo and Professor Zhang Gang from Harbin Institute of Technology, offering insights into advanced technologies and key issues in electrical engineering. The lecture series included contributions from notable experts like Professor Xu Dianguo, Professor Li Yong, Professor Pan Donghua, and Professor Tu Zhenghong, who discussed recent advancements, research trends, and future directions in the field.
In addition to academic sessions, participants engaged in team-building exercises that enhanced their teamwork and collaborative skills. During their stay at Harbin Institute of Technology, they were inspired by stories of national projects and talent development, explored cutting-edge aerospace and engineering innovations, and broadened their global perspectives on scientific research.
